Leadership development
isn’t broken because of a lack of effort.
It’s usually because of a lack of consistency.
Organisations invest time, budget, and energy into developing their leaders.
Programmes are designed
Content is delivered.
Workshops are attended.
But over time, something begins to fade.
Not the intention… The behaviour.
Because leadership doesn’t change in a training room.
It changes in the moments that follow.
The everyday moments where leaders choose how to respond, communicate, and show up.
This is where many leadership programmes fall short.
They build awareness… But they don’t always build consistency.
And without consistency, behaviour doesn’t stick.
In the organisations I work with, lasting leadership change happens when leaders:
Apply behaviours daily, not occasionally
Set clear expectations and reinforce them consistently
Follow through on commitments, especially under pressure
Model the standards they expect from others
Because leadership isn’t defined by what you know.
It’s defined by what you do, repeatedly.
