## Public tools

The MCP endpoint implements stateless JSON responses for protocol revisions 2025-03-26 and 2025-06-18. Browsers with WebMCP can use the same read-only tools. These tools do not send enquiries, make bookings, purchase books or subscribe people to the newsletter.

The website form requires a deliberate visitor submission and spam verification. Reading information or preparing an enquiry does not send a message. A booking link opens Calendly; opening that link is not a confirmed booking. Confirm the person's intent before sharing their details or completing an external action.

Prices, event availability, response times and individual outcomes are not published guarantees. Ask Gavin about the specific enquiry. Public podcast and newsletter pages can contain historical offers, events and guest links; retain their dates and source attribution.

## Authentication and errors

Reading public content and calling the public tools requires no API key. HTTP clients should send a descriptive User-Agent, such as ExampleAssistant/1.0; Cloudflare Pages may reject empty or generic library defaults. There is no private-account API. POST /mcp accepts bounded JSON-RPC requests with Content-Type: application/json. Unknown methods and invalid tool arguments return explicit JSON-RPC errors. Use public GET documents if optional agent tooling is unavailable.

https://www.gavinscott.me/privacy-policy/ describes enquiry processing, analytics and browser privacy controls. Do not include contact details, private messages or other personal data in public-content searches. Respect robots.txt and avoid repeatedly requesting the same information.
